He found me. He saved me.
A humble and prayerful person will find a thousand things in the Bible, which the proud student will utterly fail to discern.
I can’t stop smiling and just being in awe as I type this :) Let’s start at the beginning of the story…
I have an AP World test tomorrow, and I had a state orch audition and viola recital this weekend, so I didn’t have as much time as I wanted to to study. I had to stay after school today for a WC training, and I have rehearsals every Monday night from 7:00-9:30 pm, so I was praying that God would bless the short amount of time I had to study and give me the grace and knowledge found in Christ Jesus to study and manage my time efficiently.
I was studying, realizing that I needed to leave for rehearsal soon, and I continually prayed that God would help me study and bless the results of my test. A couple of minutes later, I checked my email and got a notification saying that rehearsals are canceled tonight due to a power outage caused by a “downed tree!” like WHAT. :O A TREE FELL! GOD MADE A TREE FALL! I STILL CAN’T WRAP MY MIND AROUND IT! ahahaha this is crazy, but I know it’s all God :) He works in the most mysterious ways!
All glory to God! :)
I’ve been praying for the past few months that God would allow me to completely trust in Him for the results of my state audition and to give me the ability to practice well. I had my audition today, and without a doubt, it was atrocious.
I left feeling slightly discouraged, but for some reason, at peace. I had texted and talked to some of my closest friends and asked them to pray for me, and I definitely felt the power of prayer in my circumstances. Anyways, so I was pretty confident that I had no chance of making it since my audition was no where near adequate.
…and then I get a text from my friend a couple hours later, and she tells me that I made it. what. like how. Haha God is so good! All praise, glory, and honor to Him!
First word I thought of when I saw this picture: quaint.
All I’ve Ever Needed - AJ Michalka
Watched Grace Unplugged this past week, and it really hit home. I must say, it has one of those cliche, predictable plots, but nevertheless, it has to be one of my favorites. Definitely recommend it if you’re desperate for a faith-lift. :)
God never reveals our hearts to discourage us. Convicting us of sin is one of the most profound ways he demonstrates his love for us.
